Golden Rules
Take a look at our Golden Rules to make sure you get the most out or your day with TrailHopper.
Scenery
The character of the hills depends on the time of year you visit – be it the mists of winter, the red and gold leaves of autumn, or the clear bright sunshine of the warmer months, it is always beautiful. This trail is all about winding country roads, panoramic vistas of vines and orchards, and more historic sites than you can waggle a wine glass at.
Wine
The cooler climates make for some outstanding wines. From Shaw & Smith’s ‘Australia’s Best Shiraz’ award at the London International Wine Challenge, to the iconic and eminently drinkable Sparkling Rosé from Bird in Hand, on this day you’ll have the opportunity to taste a wide range of Australia’s best and most memorable wines.
Some wineries have requested bookings essentials and also have implemented paid tastings (this is regardless of group size, and whether you’re driving yourself or on TrailHopper). So please know you’ll need to organize your some stops for your group’s day in advance by booking into your desired venues before the tour departs. Our InfoPack contains all you need to know about the venues on this tour and we’re always on hand to help. We know this isn’t ideal, but it’s out of our hands.
The best part is that the wine, the scenery, and the sheer enjoyment of being out on tour with us is as special as always.
We truly hope you’ll come on board soon and support not only our staff and business but those of the awesome venues and regions we visit.

Frequently Asked Questions
1 Baby Seats / Boosters – Unfortunately there is no way for guests to bring or install car seats, as there are literally no anchor points. Legally our 20-seat buses are defined as ‘omnibuses’ which are any ‘real’ buses defined as above 13 seats. As such, like a public transport passenger bus or tram, children under 5 would have to ride on their parents at their own risk, and TrailHopper is not legally liable for any child passenger under 16 years old.
2 Prams, Strollers & Luggage – Unfortunately we have no storage space for large items such as prams. Also, due to health and safety regulations, our aisles are officially designated as ‘Emergency Exits’, so unless it is an umbrella pram or item that can fold up be stored under the guests’ own seat then we cannot accept prams onboard.
3 In terms of child fares, children aged 5 or older are charged at the full seat rate. Children under 5 that can ride on their parents laps may travel free of charge.

Partly due to staff shortages (which is understandable in the current climate) and partly because we loved some wineries we didn’t want to leave.
Trail hopper is comfortable, they keep your purchases safe along the way and complimentary water was a great touch.
Highly recommend!
