Our Golden Rules
TrailHopper’s Golden Rules
Hi there!
In anticipation of your upcoming tour, we need to emphasize our ‘Golden Rules’ to help you get the most out of your day. Please read these carefully, and if you’re organising on behalf of a group, make sure everyone sees them.
Golden Rule #1 – Alcohol Safety / Duty of Care
Our tours involve alcohol, but a very small minority of passengers may not behave appropriately. Here’s what you need to know:
This is not a ‘booze cruise’ — our bus is not licensed. This is a leisurely day out among beautiful wine regions; please act respectfully.
All passengers must read and sign our Duty of Care Agreement prior to boarding. You can view the agreement here.
Bring food to ensure your comfort during the tour.
Golden Rule #2 – Bookings at Venues
Many wineries have updated operations, meaning most now have seated tastings and smaller capacities:
For some wineries, bookings are Essential or Recommended for TrailHopper guests.
You can see which venues require bookings in the ‘Tasting Fees’ and ‘Food Options’ sections of your Information Pack (Pages 3–4).
Golden Rule #3 – How to Read Your Timetable
Our timetables are flexible but can be tricky to follow at first. Here’s what you need to know:
Maximum potential: 4 x 1-hour stops. If taking a 2-hour lunch, total stops = 3.
Large groups (7+) format: 2 pre-booked tastings (1 hr each) + 1 pre-booked long lunch (2 hrs) = 3 stops total.
To maximise stops, follow the timetable top-down, not bottom-up.
The last column of times on your timetable indicates the final pickup time at each venue.
If these rules aren’t what you expected, or you feel some members of your group may not be able to adhere, that’s OK — contact us for a full refund, no questions asked.
We hope this helps make your day a memorable one — we can’t wait to have you aboard!
Many Thanks,
TrailHopper Team
