Sometimes the decision about where to eat is way too hard – especially when there is a group of you to accommodate within budget and dietary needs. So we have put together a list of all the food destinations and winery restaurants in McLaren Vale that we visit – hopefully to make your decision a bit easier!
Note that many of higher-priced restaurants are casual in atmosphere, while the food is top notch – this is not stuffy fine-dining, rather beautiful food, beautifully presented in the most gorgeous surroundings. It’s well worth it to treat yourself!

D’arenberg
An Adelaide icon! Lunch on D’Arrys Verandah is a South Australian institution so book early to avoid disappointment. A la carte and degustation menu available, with stunning wines to match.
Gorgeous gardens, beautiful vistas and stunning food are the signature hallmarks of Coriole Vineyards, a Trailhopper favourite.

Red Poles is a restaurant, gallery and B&B. Offering gorgeous seasonal menus of local produce; extensive and delicious McLaren Vale wines to taste and order; paddles of local beers; vibrant art; and live music on Sundays from 12.30pm-3.30pm.
S.C. Pannell
Award winning wine to go with delicious food! Linger on the deck taking in the spectacular views across the Vale, and/or pair the wines with their exciting lunch menu – tapas and larger meals as well as platters available.

The newly refurbished cellar door has much to offer with all Wirra Wirra wines listed (including a range of Cellar Door exclusives). Lunch is on offer at Harry’s Deli – a relaxing café with killer coffee and fresh produce from local providores.
