Hop-On Hop-Off means you choose where you want to go and plan your own day using our route and timetable.
Our bus travels on a recurring circuit, stopping at each venue approximately once every hour. Simply hop off at your chosen stop, enjoy your tasting, meal or experience, then be ready for the next scheduled bus to take you to your next stop.
Unlike a traditional guided wine tour, you choose your own venues and how you spend your day. Our regional Info Packs include the timetable, venue information, tasting fees, food options and TrailHopper offers to help you plan.
Different groups on the bus can follow completely different itineraries throughout the day — that's what makes TrailHopper different!
No. Our buses are not licensed and alcohol cannot be consumed onboard.
TrailHopper is all about enjoying a fun day exploring the wine regions, discovering great venues and tasting responsibly — it is not a booze bus or party bus.
We take responsible alcohol consumption and passenger safety seriously. All guests are required to follow our Passenger Code of Conduct and behave respectfully towards our drivers, venues and other guests.
Guests who become intoxicated, behave inappropriately or breach our Code of Conduct may be refused further travel.

Self-Planned Hop-On Hop-Off
Plan your own day by choosing your stops from our route and timetable. You make your own venue bookings, with tastings and meals paid directly to the venues. Choose either Adelaide City or In-Region pickup.
All-Inclusive Tour Experience
Prefer us to organise the day for you? We’ll take care of your itinerary and venue bookings, with standard tastings and lunch included. Available for groups of up to 6 guests.

Yes, children are welcome onboard TrailHopper.
Child Fares
Baby Seats & Booster Seats
Our 20-seat buses do not have child-restraint anchor points, so baby seats and booster seats cannot be fitted to our vehicles.
Children under 5 may travel on the lap of their parent or guardian.
Prams & Strollers
Storage space onboard is very limited and the aisles and emergency exits must remain clear at all times. We cannot accommodate large prams or strollers.
A small, foldable umbrella pram may be brought onboard provided it can be safely stored and does not block the aisle or emergency exits.
Unfortunately, pets are not permitted onboard TrailHopper buses.
Assistance animals are welcome. If you will be travelling with an assistance animal, please contact us before your tour so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Yes. TrailHopper is not a private tour, so there will usually be other guests onboard.
The great thing about our hop-on, hop-off format is that everyone can follow their own itinerary. Different groups choose different stops throughout the day, so while you may travel together on the bus, you won’t necessarily be visiting the same venues.
This helps spread guests throughout the region and gives everyone the freedom to enjoy their own day.
Yes, same-day bookings are welcome, subject to availability.
Bookings must be made and paid for before boarding, as we do not have payment facilities onboard our buses.
We recommend booking in advance where possible to secure your seat, particularly on weekends and during busy periods.
Yes! We use Stamp Me, a free digital loyalty program that rewards you for travelling with TrailHopper.
Each time you tour with us, simply scan the Stamp Me QR code onboard to collect a digital stamp on your smartphone.

There’s no physical card to carry — just download the Stamp Me app, collect your stamps and enjoy your rewards on future TrailHopper tours.
Our cancellation policy is:
48 hours or more before your tour: You can receive a full credit or transfer to another available tour date.
Within 48 hours of your tour, no-shows or change of mind: Unfortunately, no refund or credit is available.
Transfers: A transfer to another tour date may be approved by management where prior notice is provided.
If you booked through a third-party booking platform, any cancellation or changes must be made directly through the platform you booked with.

We use Toyota Coaster buses — comfortable 20-seat vehicles with air-conditioning and tinted windows for a comfortable journey throughout your day.
Our buses operate to a set timetable, with each stop visited approximately once every hour.

The timetable shows exactly when the bus is scheduled to arrive at each stop, so you can plan your day accordingly.
Please make sure you are ready and waiting at your stop before the scheduled departure time, as our buses need to keep moving to stay on timetable.
No problem! You don’t need to show a physical ticket when you board.

There are plenty of great food options across our routes, including winery restaurants, cafés, pubs, platters and casual dining options.

If you’re travelling on our Self-Planned Hop-On Hop-Off, you are responsible for making your own lunch or food bookings directly with the venue. We recommend booking ahead, particularly on weekends and during busy periods.
If you’re travelling on our All-Inclusive Tour Experience, lunch is included and organised for you.
No problem! There’s plenty to enjoy on a TrailHopper day even if wine isn’t your thing.
Depending on the region and route, you’ll find a mix of great food, gin and spirits, breweries, cafés, local produce, regional towns and beautiful scenery, alongside our winery stops.

Unfortunately, no. Our buses operate on a set route and timetable, so we’re unable to make additional stops or detours by request.
Guests must join the service from one of our designated pickup locations or an approved established stop on the TrailHopper route.

Newests can visit up to 4 one-hour stops during the day.
If you’re planning a longer lunch, we recommend 3 stops, allowing around 2 hours for lunch and one hour at each of your other two venues.
Use the timetable in your regional Info Pack to plan your stops and make sure your itinerary works with the TrailHopper circuit.
If you’re travelling on our Self-Planned Hop-On Hop-Off, you are responsible for making your own tasting, lunch and experience bookings directly with the venues.
We recommend booking in advance, particularly on weekends and during busy periods. Use your regional Info Pack to help plan your day and check which venues require bookings.
If you’re travelling on our All-Inclusive Tour Experience, there’s nothing for you to organise — we take care of all your venue bookings for you.
