Sometimes not everyone wants to join in with wine-tasting in the Adelaide Hills with you! And that is totally ok! Melba’s chocolate Factory – Located in Woodside, here you can watch the chocolate making process, from melting down chocolate in the large kettles, to the making of wonderful creations on the 2 metre long steel tables, to the packaging up of the delicious treats. There is also a coffee shop, so have a wander through the amazing array of sweet treats, then grab a bite to eat and a coffee. Yummo!

Woodside Cheese Wrights – Located right next door to Melba’s Chocolate Factory, here you can try some amazing cheeses made from cow, goat and buffalo milk sourced from small local dairies and made by hand. Some of the cheeses here are seasonal as they are only made when the milk is perfect for each cheese, this is how you know you will be in for a real treat. Want to experience making your own cheese? Lobethal Bakery – Located in Woodside, here you can find some truly delicious pies, cakes, pastries, rolls, gelato, coffee and tea. There are the options to dine in or why not grab yourselves a feast and sit in one of the many gorgeous parks located in the area.

The German Arms – Located in Hahndorf, this place truly is a South Australian icon with all-day dining offering something from traditional German fare to popular Australian pub style food. The German Arms has the largest variety of imported German and Bavarian beers in South Australia, from traditional German wheat beers to local Adelaide Hills cider. So hop on over to German Arms and maybe try something a little different. Guaranteed to make beer and cider lovers very happy!

Gulf Brewery – Located in Hahndorf, a perfect spot for those that enjoy a hand crafted boutique beer. With a wide range of beers available, there is sure to be a beer that suits your taste from a crisp refreshing lager to a smooth dark chocolate stout. Hahndorf Soap Factory – For something a little different, pop into the Hahndorf Soap Factory, they have over 25 varieties of organic and natural soaps including Goats milk liquid soap, oatmeal and shea butter soap, aromatherapy soaps, soap for men and soaps for kids. So why not head in and get yourself some beautiful items to take home and pamper yourself.
